Plan Change 58 - Outer Castlecliff

In 2022, the council ceased progressing Plan Change 58 as a council-initiated plan change.

Background

In 2019, the council commenced investigations to rezone additional land at Castlecliff for residential development. The land currently zoned Reserves and Open Space and Rural Lifestyle to Residential.

The areas are:

• north of Waitai Street (part of the Castlecliff Golf Course)
• north of Waitote Street
• east of Karaka Street
• part of Longbeach Drive to the top of the cul-de-sac.

A number of technical reports have been commissioned to inform the review. Those completed to date are:
