Whanganui District Council gives notice that log harvesting at A H Collins Park, located in the Fordell area, will begin on Thursday, 13 June 2024.
Council contractor Forest360 will harvest logs at A H Collins Park in line with the council’s proposed revenue-generating initiatives. The work is expected to take two months to complete – neighbouring properties have been advised.
Please note amenity trees such as the protected dawn redwood (Metasequoia) will not be removed. Some forest debris will remain post-harvest to provide a base for future native plantings.
