All council facilities closed during Level 4 lockdown

All Whanganui District Council facilities will be closed after New Zealand goes into Level 4 lockdown at midnight on 17 August 2021.

This includes:

All parks and sportsfields
Splash Centre
All council buildings and venues
Public toilets
All libraries
Sarjeant Gallery
NZ Glassworks
Whanganui Resource Recovery Centre

The Animal Pound will be closed to the public.

No appointments for rates rebates will take place over the next three days. Please re-book your appointment online or phone Whanganui District Council on 349 0001.
