Newest citizens welcomed

The latest citizens to be welcomed in Whanganui
Whanganui Mayor Hamish McDouall and Whanganui District Council Chief Executive Kym Fell welcomed 25 new citizens in a ceremony in the Council Chamber this month. The new citizens were presented with their certificate of New Zealand citizenship.
Mayor McDouall says it was a privilege to welcome the group. “It doesn’t matter whether they have lived in Whanganui for a number of decades or a handful of years, the ceremonies are always meaningful and a time to celebrate.”
The new citizens and their original nationalities are: Jant Akkerman (Netherlands); Mehar Angez Begum Ali, Farook Ali (Fiji); Lovely Quipanes Brunola (Philippines); Timoci Bulitavu Kabakaba (Fiji); Natasha Nabihah Khan (Fiji); Jo Anne Cabug-Os Letigio (Philippines); Julian Ferdinand Pelser (South Africa); Jonathan Geoffrey Rowan Seagers (United Kingdom); Mohamed Belkouadssi (Morocco); Laisiana Tale Bulivou (Fiji); Susan Kathleen Hickey (Canada); Wendy Thelma Kelly (Australia); Nelson Fry Lebo III, Danielle Lija Lebo (United States of America); Gantugs Monkhor (Mongolia); Anne Elizabeth Ravn (England); Flemming Ravn (Denmark); Simrat Singh (India); Richard Nengyue Tang (China); Ian Taylor, Rachel Jane Taylor, Samuel Thomas Taylor, Joshua Luke Taylor (England); Rachel Heather Southgate (England)
