Under Section 11A of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1974, Whanganui District Council intends to close the following roads for the annual Mainstreet Whanganui Caboodle Festival.
Period of intended closures:
Saturday, 18 January 2025, from 7.00am until midnight (12.00am)
- Victoria Avenue – from Ingestre Street to Guyton Street, and from Guyton Street to Ridgway Street
- Maria Place from the Farmers carpark entrance to Victoria Avenue.
Saturday, 18 January 2025, from 7.00am until midnight (12.00am)
- Ridgway Street from Drews Avenue to Victoria Avenue.
Saturday, 18 January 2025, from 7.00am until midnight (12.00am)
- Victoria Avenue from Ridgway Street to Taupo Quay.
During the intended closures, directional signs will be in place to show the alternative routes.
