Changes to Whanganui District Plan under s58I of the Resource Management Act 1991
Public notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 58I of the Resource Management Act 1991, that the Whanganui District Council has approved changes to the Whanganui District Plan to give effect to the National Planning Standards 2019.
These changes related to the adoption of the ePlan format and the definitions under National Planning Standards for community facility, height in relation to boundary, signage and primary production.
As required by Section 58I (3) of the Resource Management Act 1991, these changes to the District Plan have been made without using a Schedule 1 process (the typical public submission process for plan changes).
These changes to the District Plan were approved by resolution of Whanganui District Council on 24 October 2024 and became operative on 1 November 2024.
