Under Section 4 of the the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations1965, Whanganui District Council proposes to close the following roads for Wanganui Car Club sealed hill climb motorsport events:
• Western Line
9.00am-5.00pm
Saturday, 23 November 2024
(from the railway crossing near 100 Western Line, finishing between 311 and 351 Western Line – about 2.4 km)
• Brunswick Road
9.00am-5.00pm
Sunday, 24 November 2024
(from 307 Brunswick Road, finishing at the intersection of Brunswick and Blueskin roads – about 3.5 km).
During the proposed closures, the Wanganui Car Club will allow controlled access.
Any person affected by the proposed closures who wishes to object must lodge in writing their objection, including reasons, by Friday, 25 October 2024 to Melanie Francis, Customer Support Team Leader, at Council Customer Services, 101 Guyton Street, Whanganui or by email.
