Council contractors Loaders will be installing utility assets for the new courthouse development in Dublin Street in November 2024.
To allow contractors to work safely during work to install a wastewater pipe around three metres deep, a section of Dublin Street will be reduced to one lane and detours will operate for five days.
A temporary lane restriction for traffic heading towards Victoria Avenue will be in place from 7.00am on Monday, 18 November until 6.00pm on Friday, 22 November 2024. Signs will be in place to show the alternative routes.
- Traffic heading towards Victoria Avenue will be detoured at the intersection of Bell Street in either direction
- Campbell Street from Plymouth Street will become a cul-de-sac to allow work to be completed in Dublin Street and for the one-lane closure
- Dublin Street will remain open to all traffic from Victoria Avenue heading towards Somme Parade
Pedestrian and cycle access will be available as usual.
