Use water sensibly – that’s our message to the community as this spell of hot and dry weather continues in the district.
While there are no water restrictions in place, sensible water use will help our Westmere reservoirs (supplied by deep underground bores) meet the expected extra demand.
Here’s how you can help:
- Water gardens early morning or late afternoon – out of the heat of the day
- Use sprinklers responsibly – maybe you can let your lawn go brown and use water for your veggies!
- Fix leaky taps and turn them off properly after use
- Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth – making small changes can have a big impact!
With high demand, you may notice a temporary reduction in water pressure.
If you do spot a leaky tap or fixture on public property, please give us a call on 063490001 so it can be fixed. You can also report leaks to us via our free Antenno app:
