Business Cases
The Long-Term Plan (LTP) incorporates a Business Case approach to project evaluation, which begins with a Point of Entry (PoE) Business Case. This approach provides consistency in how projects are established and ensures the required information is brought together in a logical way to allow for sound decision-making.
The Business Case process allows us to explore how projects align with council objectives and provides a high-level description of the problem or opportunity prior to resources being assigned to a project. All PoE’s are evaluated, including community initiatives, to establish which projects should be included in the LTP for consultation.
The final list of projects included in the Long-Term Plan will be progressed over the next 10 years.
