Apply for rates remission

For the 2024/25 financial year (starting in July 2024) the council is continuing its rates remission (reduction) that was put in place for the 2023/24 year to assist households affected by a significant increase in rates as a result of the 2022 property revaluations.

This week's Te Hononga a Hapori Community Link(PDF, 2MB) features tips on keeping your kerbside recycling in its crates on windy days, funding applications for the Creative Communities Scheme are open until 19 September, National Poetry Day is celebrated at the Davis Library this Friday (23 August), the District Library’s Festival of Adult Learning Ahurei Ākonga takes place from 2-8 September, and global credit rating agency Standard and Poor’s has confirmed the council’s credit rating remains unchanged.
